Master Activity-Based Budgeting Through Real Practice
Our intensive program runs from September through November 2025. You'll work through actual budget scenarios faced by Australian organisations, learning the kind of activity analysis that transforms how finance teams operate.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff
Look, most courses throw theory at you and call it a day. We built this differently because we've seen what actually works when people need to apply these concepts in their jobs.
Case Analysis Sessions
Every Tuesday evening, we dig into a real budget challenge. Recent examples include a manufacturing firm's overhead allocation mess and a service company trying to figure out where their costs actually go. You'll propose solutions, debate approaches, and see what happened in the actual situation.
Workshop Practice
Thursday sessions are hands-on. You'll build cost pools, trace activities, calculate driver rates. We use spreadsheet models you can take back to your workplace. Some participants have told us they started applying techniques before finishing the program.
Applied Projects
The capstone is your own organisation's budget structure. You'll map activities, identify cost drivers, and develop an implementation approach. Our instructors review your work individually, which means you leave with something you can actually present to your team.
Who's Teaching
Both our instructors have spent years implementing activity-based systems in Australian organisations. They know the theory, sure, but more importantly they know what breaks when you try to roll this out in a real finance department.
Classes are capped at eighteen participants so there's actual interaction. Questions don't wait until the end. If something doesn't make sense, we stop and work through it.

Lachlan spent eight years at a Sydney consultancy helping mid-sized companies overhaul their costing systems. He's the one who'll walk you through the messy parts of activity identification that textbooks skip over.
